How to Publish a Standard Operating Procedure or Lockout/Tagout Procedure

Publishing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedure is an essential step in ensuring that all employees are aware of and following the proper protocols for safety and operations. To publish an SOP or LOTO procedure, follow these simple steps:

1. Find the SOP or LOTO on the SOP or LOTO list: Start by locating the specific procedure you wish to publish on the list of SOPs or LOTOs.

2. Click EDIT SOP or EDIT LOTO: Once you have found the procedure, click on the "EDIT SOP" or "EDIT LOTO" button to make changes to the document.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the Overview tab: After opening the procedure for editing, scroll down to the bottom of the Overview tab to access the dropdown menu.

4. Select PUBLISH from the dropdown menu: In the dropdown menu, select the option to "PUBLISH" the procedure to make it accessible to all employees.

5. Save: Finally, save the changes you have made to the procedure to ensure that the published version is up to date.

It is important to note that only managers have the authority to publish SOPs and LOTO procedures. By following these steps, you can ensure that all employees have access to the necessary information to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
